This mug of stocky proportions, has been slipped and marbled perfectly so, that it seemingly emulates the historic marbled papers of Europe.

So called Mochaware, these abstract slipped designs revolutionised the ceramic decorative industry by the end of the eighteenth century - becoming a must have for households in England, and the US.

Now in contemporary design and culture, these wares have become nothing short of iconic.
