This oriental delicacy, is formed of five fused ceramic bowls, and is typically known in the pot world as a kiln waster. It can be attributed to the Ming Dynasty and the provincial kilns of the Fifteenth century.
Brilliantly, a kind of alchemy has occurred - making this waster a particularly lyrical example, with its sculptured stack form and ghostly glaze of blue and white.
