Medieval; Thirteenth Century Inlaid Floor Tile; Wessex School.

This thirteenth century inlaid tile with its stylised fleur de lis flanked by two birds was a popular Wessex school design. Noticeably on account of the many surviving examples that can be attributed and seen throughout the ecclesiastical sites of the West Country.

Although we cannot be completely certain; our examples provenance, so it is told through the family grapevine, was once at Keynsham Abbey.
